DailyGroove is a personal fitness and workout timer app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data the app handles and how.
We do not collect any personal data. DailyGroove has no user accounts and no registration process, and the app itself does not send your workout data anywhere. The only exception is if you choose to make a voluntary donation — see Supporting the App below.
All information you enter into the app (workouts, exercises, session history, and preferences) is stored exclusively in a local database on your device. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly choose to export a backup file.
The app provides an optional backup feature that exports your data to a file you choose to save on your device. This file is created only when you initiate an export, is saved to a location you control, and is never transmitted anywhere by the app.
DailyGroove does not require an internet connection to work. Every feature — building sessions, running them, and reviewing your history — functions fully offline, and your workout data is never transmitted to us or to any third party.
If you enable the voice readout feature, the app uses your device's built-in text-to-speech engine to announce workout steps. This is processed entirely on your device; no audio or text is sent to external services.
DailyGroove is free, and there is nothing to buy. The app includes an optional Buy me a coffee screen where you may make a voluntary donation. This is a tip only — it does not unlock features and does not change how the app behaves.
Tapping the donate button opens a payment page in your web browser, hosted by Stripe, our payment processor. Nothing is sent anywhere unless you tap that button. If you choose to donate, your payment details are entered on Stripe's own page and are handled under Stripe's privacy policy. DailyGroove never sees, receives, or stores your card details, and no part of your workout data is shared with Stripe.
If the Android app stops unexpectedly and your device is set to share diagnostic data with Google, Android may send an anonymous crash report to Google Play. We can then see the technical details of the failure — such as which part of the code went wrong — in the Google Play Console.
These reports contain no personal information, none of your workout data, and nothing that identifies you. They are collected by Android and Google Play, not by the app itself, and you control whether they are sent at all through your device's own privacy settings.
Aside from the optional payment page described above, DailyGroove does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising networks, crash-reporting services, or social media SDKs.
The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If this privacy policy changes, the updated version will be published at this URL. The "last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any revisions.
